v2 materials and the bridge courses have defined end dates! Note the dates and plan accordingly:

  • v2 Foundation ends: 30 June 2010
  • v2 Manager ends: 31 August 2010
  • v2 Practitioner ends: 31 December 2010
  • v3 Foundation Bridge ends: 31 December 2010

Re-sits for the above end 30 June 2011

  • v3 Manager Bridge ends: 30 June 2011
The best route to ITIL® Expert, and best being defined as practical and good solid education, is the v2 Service Manager and the v2-v3 Manager Bridge. SED-IT is still offering both courses – a total of 13 training days (and 2 days for the written Manager exam) will complete the requirements for the both courses…of course, the Manager exam must be successfully completed to sit the Manager Bridge. Changes in v3
To address the 100s of known errors and necessary updates, there will be a new release/edition/version of the v3 volumes. There has not been a delivery date published. To view this list, go to www.best-management-practice.com/ChangeLog. Additionally, there has been talk about changing the v3 educational schema; no solid details have been provided.

IT Service Management: v2 Manager - now EXPEDITED delivery
The Manager Certificate is the best method to fully learn about Service Management. v3 courses will not provide the in-depth information and management skills that the v2 Manager delivers in a single class. Both management skills and practical application are emphasized and practiced throughout the course. Content covers the assessment, design, implementation and management of all v2 IT Service Management processes as defined by the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) guidance on best practice. IT Service Management: v2 Foundation (ends 30 June 2010)
Successful ITSM process creation and deployment activities require involvement of all IT staff as well as management representatives. Each must understand the ITIL® the concepts, activities and vocabulary of the framework. SED-IT provides this training in formats appropriate to business stakeholders, IT executives and technical staff.

v3 Bridge Courses -- these courses end soon!
SED-IT offers two 'bridge' courses -- one for certified Foundation candidates and one for certified Manager candidates. Each will allow the v1/v2-certified candidate to enter the new v3 education scheme as well as update the candidate on the advances in the v3 materials. Awareness/Overview Seminars
When a fully accredited Foundation (v2 or v3) course does not fit within the corporate plans, SED-IT offers multiple solutions in order to address the ITSM framework in varying levels of detail. PoleStar ITSM Simulation
Use an exciting simulation to learn about the process-driving framework in a high-impact and challenging environment. PoleStar utilizes a global online retail scenario where change is the constant and realistic scenarios (challenges) are presented during the simulation. Experiential education solidifies the principles of the ITSM framework in a fun and memorable way.

ISO/IEC 20000 Consultant Training
This intense course covers 2.5 days of study on the standard, specifically learning the difference between the Specification and the Code of Practice. Utilize this information to assist your (or other organizations) prepare for the ISO/IEC 20000 audit or to focus your process development. The course culminates with the 2-part exam.
